Hello.

I have received my replacement, I know I'm wondering about what to do.

Both looks similar, both have some dust spot under the glass but I don't care.

iSight are dead pixels free. HD aren't noisy, the new one is WD and the old one Seagate.

The problem is the yellow tint.

What can you tell me?

What size is this?

Is the yellow bad enough to bother you while you are using it?

it is hard to tell by any photo, but some of yours are too small and you are taking them from a little bit of an angle which makes it more difficult to see what the screen actually looks like. There seems to be some yellow tinting, but.....

Tough decision. A little yellowing is acceptable to me. If it exists when running these tests, but I don't really see it in every day use, then I am ok with it. I think a good test is iTunes. Open iTunes and put it single line mode, or non thumbnail / album mode. This will give you white and blue lines going across the screen. With this view, it is very easy to see if you notice on section of the screen turning the white lines yellow, and/or the blue lines green. If I cannot use iTunes or other apps without seeing this discoloration (unless I really try to find it) then I am good.

Good luck.

I see backlight bleeding and some yellow.

Just keep it. You're going to go nuts returning and replacing. They all have some color inconsistency.

Do they send you your replacement in the mail, and then you send yours back after you get the replacement? I'm about to get mine in the mail. Chances are, I will end up with this issue soon. Does anyone know if you can exchange it at a Best Buy "Apple Store" ? I don't have an actual Apple retail store anywhere near me.

If you bought it online (Apple Store), you have to return it online. If you bought it in the store, you can send it in or return it to the store. IF you didnt buy it at BestBuy, you cant return it there.

Well, the thing is that I can't notice anything with normal use : it has some dust spots, but there are invisible with screen on; one or two dead or stuck pixels, only visible with white screen and if you look for them...

I was really enjoying this iMac. I have the replacement here, and I really don't know to do.

Sometimes I think that if this forum didn't exist, I won't be able to notice any fault on the machine.

Well, I will keep one of this.

The original one. I have using it for two weeks, I didn't notice anything in normal use, so...

Thanks!

Hi diegobgr,

I can't attach pictures to a private message, I think, but as I was telling, neither of those screens is perfect. Just to show what I mean, I increased saturation of each of them to 90 (not sure about the units) in Photoshop . You can see why i think screen on picture 4971329732_8b39ef297a_b copy is better, but eventually you'll have to be the final judge.
Again, those screens are not too bad and I could live with the one presented on the 4971329732_8b39ef297a_b picture.

I see.

The right one is better.

Well, is really difficult to find a perfect screen, no?

In fact, an concerning my personal one, all of you says me that the yellow are ok on my iMac.

So, I will end to this headache, and start to enjoy my new machine.
