Will buy a new imac this year but having problems with Safari at the moment.

Used Google Chrome until 6-8 months ago, exclusively but it started to slow down this machine, so switched to Safari.
Has worked very well until 1-2 months ago.

At least 1-2x daily, I am hitting various web pages that are blank but I know they shouldn't be.
I still have Chrome installed and at those times I must use it to gain access to those pages and do so without any problem.

The page will just be blank. All white but fine in Chrome.
Occassionly I will see someting about Safari is not able to open the page although I can in Chrome.
Any idea what might be causing this to happen?!

Lastly, aside from Safari, does FireFox work better than Chrome. Never used it and dont want to d/l it and add it to this computer unless it is significantly better. If so I could then remove Chrome once and for all.
