What happens to iMacs after they have been returned by unsatisfied customers under warranty. Are they being checked/repaired and sold for new? Or just forwarded to less critical customers?

Just wonder, especially because many buyers seem to make use of the possibility to exchange an iMac when not satisfied with it.

I see, thanks! That's a costly affair for Apple, to sell every returned iMac (Pro) as refurbished.
Better then junking them, though they don't sell every returned iMac, they keep some, so the parts can be used for repairs.
