It should be. The iMac does a very good job of sniffing out wireless networks and making the connection process easy.

Hi,

I don't think you will have any problems. Very rare that a router wouldn't work with a computer.

Yeah this stuff is pretty much all standardized. The only case you might have issues is with wireless N. As everything is draft N as that standard has not been finalized. Cabled networks won't have an issue. Wireless will work just not necessarily at N speeds.

So when im setting up my mac, it will find the router and i will be away?

Thanks

You shouldn't have any problems with the router.

Though, a question:
Is the router itself located nearby the computer (i.e., within 15-20 feet)? If so, my recommendation is to get an Ethernet connecting cable and "go wired" instead.

If you're not actually moving the computer around (as in a laptop), removing the "wireless factor" is one less thing that can go wrong on you.

Others may disagree, but for "close connections", wired beats wireless hands down.

Thanks all for replies

Got My iMac now and am typing this from it :D

Found my wireless no problem connected straight away.

Recommend getting this iMac (21.5)

Thanks again
