My iMac running on Catalina 10.15.7 will not update, power down, or restart when prompted.
I was finally ready to update the OS since the software I use for work had issues with Big Sur and Monterey when first launched. I noticed my updates weren't going through. Tried to restart, and found out the iMac would look like it's shutting down, then stay frozen. Same for shutting down. I've had to restart my iMac manually and a window pops up with an error message about the computer being restarted. Still, I can't seem to get my iMac to restart or power down normally without manually shutting it down, which still does not fix the problem. And updates are just stuck in search mode.
Is anyone else having these issues?
