iMac - safari, chrome and mail not connecting

All of a sudden safari and mail on my iMac are not connecting. If I power down and start up again it sometimes will work but only once for maybe one or two websites, then it will not connect.....same thing with mail. Seems like something is hijacking my connection because I keep clearing cache and history and it just comes back again. Also Chrome was working and now it is not...
My wireless is working fine on all my other devices....MacBook Pro and iPhone 7....stumped....

OK, I tried everything and decided that I'd just restore my system back a couple off days before this trouble started. I hit Control + R while booting up, followed the instructions and a couple hours later after I took a lunch everything is back to normal......I LOVE Time Machine!
