Hi,
has anyone had any problems or concerns, from a safety standpoint using Back Up to back up data to iMac service?? I know it's Apple and not Microsoft, but I'm just curious???
Thanks
Frank

I suppose you mean .Mac ("dot-Mac").
In general I have a problem edit: (concerned, really) /edit: from a safety standpoint when backing up data over the internet.....
I do use it for trivial stuff, like bookmarks, Addressbook.app data and so on. But if it were REAL important (and senstitive) data, I would NEVER back it up to a medium which is not physically within the reach of my own two hands.

But I haven't heard of any "oops" stories regarding .Mac

.Mac-I use the back up service for my school files. That is basically it. They are not vital; it wouldn't matter if I lost a Bio lab i did 2 years ago. But it back up weekly, just updating it. I am like you, i basically trust it, but would put critical files on it (at least only on it).
