Hey all,

Im using an imac 20" for some time now. And i was wondering about the screen delay in ms.

Im using xp so cant check in my OSX os.

Does anyone know a way to find out the delay ?

I don't know the details, but as far as I know IPS screens have higher delays (ms) than TN ones. If I am correct it should be around 8 to 10 ms.

I don't think anyone has the specs for the response time on the 27 inch iMac panels yet. The part number is LM270WQ1 and it is of course an LG panel. TFT Central doesn't list a response time yet but the 24 inch iMac panels were 12ms G2G so I think the above estimate of 8 to 10ms is probably on target. I doubt they're slower than their predecessors.

But i have an old iMac anyway.

But how to find out the response on my panel ? And how do i know what panel i got anyway ?

Yeah, sorry about that. I wonder why I assumed you were asking about the 27" when you clearly stated you had a 20" iMac.

At any rate, that link I sent above to TFT Central is a really good site for panel info. If they list "unknown" it's a pretty good bet Apple never released this information.
