Hello everyone, I had an extra processor lying around so I decided to max out my Early 2009 iMac with better CPU, SSD, and RAM. Everything went fine but after putting it back together, the screen is extremely discolored and flickering, almost like a GPU issue. However, after I put the Mac to sleep and turned it back on, the screen works crystal clear like nothing ever happened??? I will post a picture below of what it looks like after booting and after I wake it up from sleep. Does anyone know what causes this issue? (Note: It flickers and is discolored on the boot screen as well)

Thank you.

I am having the same problem on my oldest iMac, even without any hardware modification.
I guess its the end of life for my display.

I have had these screen issues before on the older 20-inch iMacs. Either reseating the LVDS cable - or the more common fix for me was simply doing a PRAM-reset, and then the issue would never happen again.
