My new 27" Quad i5 Imac will be delivered tomorrow.

Can someone tell me how to read the Serial Number. I did a search, but could not find this information.

open up system profiler and it'll be in the "hardware" section (opens up with this selected). I think it's the 3rd item from the bottom of the list.

Maybe I didn't ask the correct question. I see everyone comments on the build week, where it was built etc.

How do I get that info.

Simply select "About This Mac" from the :apple: menu. In the small window that appears, click on Version 10.6.4 (just above the Software Update... button) and then click that same spot again.

[Edit] Oh, you mean how to interpret the serial number.
