iMac ship date pushed back...

I ordered a loaded 20" iMac from Apple over a week ago, (9 days) The estimated delivery is now Sept. 5th.

Anyone else have their order ship dates pushed back?

Holdup being, they're switching to Merom??? Maybe???
 
Hmm that is interesting. Usually Apple increases the ship by dates before they release something. I also noticed MacBook has increased shipping times to 1-2 business days, where as the rest are 24hrs...oh boy
 
They are all showing shipping 24 hours here :eek:

I have an issue with my macbook that I'm waiting till they update them till I resolve (bit of moaning and free upgrade ;) )
 
That would be really nice if it were an upgrade... here's hoping...

I didn't want to buy last weekend but it was Tax free here in MA and I couldn't resist the $100 off.

Why would they give you a free upgrade...?

Chances are if your macbook needs to be replaced, they’ll do so with one of the many macbooks they have left- not the updated ones.

Not to mention that companies fully realize that people who complain to get free products aren't valuable customers.
 
I'm in the same situation. My eMac is being replaced by Apple for a new iMac. But I have until a late date in September to send it in, and I'm waiting around to send it in until the new iMacs are out. Maybe I'm overly confident, but I think if a new iMac comes out in the next couple of weeks I'll be able to convince to send me that one instead of the current model. It's probably silly but I'm hung up on the idea of not wanting a desktop with a laptop chip in it so I'm hoping they update to Conroe.
 
hmm.... possibly... although, with shipping times changing to 1-2 days... that could be because of the upcoming bank holiday

Dell offered free upgrades on the XPS 700 to Conroe after the 700's were delayed and Conroes came out in the meantime.
 
Please, please, please, update the iMac!! :D I'll be the first to place an order, oh, Apple PLEASE take my money!! haha
 
please let this mean an update.

i've been waiting months for an update, and now school starts this coming week and i have no computer whatsoever because i've waited.

and theres not gonna be a keynote at paris? fjkdslfjsdljf

oh, and apple STILL hasnt made the wireless mouse / keyboard an option again on the current imac.

just a bunch of ranting. i dont know what im going to do about having a computer for the beginning of school. i'll die without one.

i went on the store to investigate... seems like the only time its 7-10 days is if you get the ati 256 upgrade. otherwise they are all 1-2 day ships. heres hoping for core2duos across the board! oh and G5 powerbooks, next tuesday:D :D
 
iMac delay

Hello,

I ordered a 17" iMac on Aug 21/06 - the free nano was delivered to me by the 23rd. The original "shipped by" date was Aug 24, but that was pushed back to Aug 30. Got an email on the 26th saying that it had shipped out, but it hasn't arrived yet :( Any day now, I guess..!
