Just put in my order for my new iMac, which is the 3.06 on the site plus wireless mouse and it has given me a delivery date of mid-August !!!

I understand that by creating a BTO iMac it would take longer but 9 weeks seems a little excessive!

Is this normal? What has everybody else's experiences been in the UK?

It did the same for me but then when I confirmed it all it changed to 6-8 weeks. When I checked on my account for a delivery date it said 15th Aug!

Just got the email through from Apple with confirmation email and the Mac is 3 days but the Canon Printer is 6-8 weeks!!!! Was trying to take advantage of the rebate offer but I have just shot myself in the foot with it. I need the mac in the next week or so...

D'oh!

Sorry this is looking like a thread only for me at the moment!

I just wanted to finish by saying that Apple support are great! I called them up and they have raised my order to priority 1 so I get first dibs on the printers when they come in so that I get the earliest delivery. I should get my order in about 1.5 weeks.

The lady on the phone said she would see what she could do about getting the order done a bit quicker and said they'd let me know. I wholly expected not to hear from them again, which is what normally happens when I call a support/ordering line, BUT she called back about 15 mins later to tell me the news above.

Basically they have gone out of their way to speed things up when it was my fault in the first place for not reading the delivery date properly. Normally if something like this happens I get told that they can't do anything or that I'll have to pay extra to fix it etc.

Thank you Apple (and the lady on the phone - Vicky!). Fingers crossed it comes!!!
