iMac Shipping Times? Newbie ?'s

Well this is the first time I have ever ordered anything off the Apple store that was worth tracking (I have ordered odds and ends on there before). I have bought previous Macs/iPods on Amazon or in the Apple store.

Anyway I just got a new AL Mac (Yipee!) and it says:

Ships by:
Aug 22 - Aug 24

Delivers by:
Aug 24 - Aug 30


I ordered regular ground shipping... Are these number arcurate? Can I expect to get it on the 24th?

Any info you could provide would be helpful. Thanks!

I am a first time Mac buyer, and also ordered on-line Tuesday (pretty late Tuesday). I got a ship date of the 27 on a 24 inch IMac. Hoping to have it before Labor Day weekend. The only 'odd-ball' that I may have ordered is a wireless mouse. Just the mouse, not the keyboard, as I read on a thread here that the wireless keyboard does not have a 10 key, although it doesn't actually say that on the web-site. Like wakerider017, I'd like to know how accurate are ship dates?

fyi, mine arrived this morning. i ordered a 2.8 c2e on aug 10th. shipped on the 14th and arrived at 8:30am on the 16th. i got pretty lucky!

where those numbers inline with what apple estimated?

That was mine, it looks like it will be here today or tomorrow (16th or 17th) . So the times seem to be very accurate.

Mine came early as well. It was estimated to ship between August 10-14, and delivery for August 14-20.

It was shipped August 10th, and delivered at 8:15am on August 13th. Pretty impressive, I might say considering it came from China!
