Hey guys can't wait for my new IMac! Just wondering if any of yours have been deliverd that were custom. I got the i7 3.4 along with the 2gb virtual ram and bought it the night they were released. Fedex is estimating friday but it suposedly left California on saturday. I live on the east coast. I can't wait any longer! haha

The only people really waiting are those that equipped their CTO with an SSD. The online Apple Store stated a 4 to 6 week shipping time on the 27" units, and figures are still on the pessimistic side of that timeframe and are still to budge.

I ordered mine this morning, and within six hours it was shipped and ready for delivery for this Friday. I'm returning the one I bought at the store last week for one with 2GB VRAM and a Trackpad. I was quite surprised that it shipped that fast since it stated on my order confirmation "Ships: 2-4 Days, Delivers: May 19-24", but now its delivering on May 13. 
Super excited.
EDIT: Scratch that, just checked Fedex and now it shows May 12 for delivery. Gets better and better.

There was a delay of some sort, and many only shipped today (even though they were ordered a week ago)
I happen to be included in this group, but Fed Ex is now telling me I can expect my iMac on Thursday.
Same here. 27" BTO ordered on 5/3, tracking says it left Sacramento on 5/6 and hasn't moved since. Also on the east coast.

Ordered mine on the 4th with FedEx 2-day. Sent on 7th, yesterday received an automated call regarding my "FedEx shipment that requires signature". Guess what, nothing - and it is still in CA (I live in VA.) The FedEx track website has even removed "estimated shipping" info... (see attached screenshot)

I ordered my BTO 27" on Sunday night... Shipped this morning, and is set to arrive tomorrow!
So essentially I am getting overnight shipping for the standard shipping cost

I ordered my 27" i5 on May 3 and they said should be delivered May 11-13. It didn't ship until May 10 and now tracking says it will deliver May 14. I had it shipped to work because someone has to sign for it and now that it is supposed to arrive on a Saturday I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

Well, I know when I ordered mine to be delivered to my mom's work, there was check box to select if it was a work address. And the shipping time for a work address is Monday-Friday between 9-5. If you didn't select that box, I'm not sure what will happen. Maybe it'll come a day earlier than expected. If not, they might just try again on Monday.

Mine is finally showing in PA...almost 7 days later. Fedex Ground blows. Hopefully it'll be delivered tomorrow.
Mine was stuck in California as well for a few days (also shipped on the 7th). I gave apple a call yesterday and apparently the FedEx airplane had some problems or something. Mine arrived this morning but I got my money back from apple since I paid for faster shipping. So shoot apple a call if you did pay extra for shipping!

I know ... I was Apple would just give some sort of explanation on this just so we understand why! Seems like such a long delay for BTOI guess I'm just impatient

Yours and mine must be riding together because mine shows Reno, NV too right now. I have never had luck with FedEx Ground. I guess I will be at work on Saturday waiting for it to arrive (even though I am off) because I am not waiting until Monday.

Yours and mine must be riding together because mine shows Reno, NV too right now. I have never had luck with FedEx Ground. I guess I will be at work on Saturday waiting for it to arrive (even though I am off) because I am not waiting until Monday.
Ordered my 27" i7 BTO (without SSD) on Friday 6th. Money was wired on Monday, tho Apple waited until today (11th) to confirm the order. Now it says estimated delivery date May 24th, slightly disappointed especially since it said estimated delivery time 3 days when I ordered. Especially annoyed since I am already selling my old one this weekend. If I have to return it because of faulty display I will get angry.
I changed mine to be delivered @ a local FedEx/Kinko's - I'm not waiting around the house on Saturday for a package that may not show up...that way I can get it until 9PM either Saturday or Sunday...win-win!

Yeah I am still trying to figure out what to do. I called Apple and they say it should arrive the 13th. We will see.
