I ordered my iMac 20" on Saturday Nov. 18 and it says it will ship between November 21-24 and will arrive between Dec 4-12...Am I just crazy or does anyone else think thats sounds like an outrageous shipping time frame! Has any other iMac owner experienced this?

One more question...How do I track my order? I'm assuming they ship with FedEx ...Is there a tracking number that Apple gives somewhere that I seemed to miss?

Thanks!

P.S. My iMac 20" has 2gb ram, 500gb hd and i bought he apple care with it...SO
EXCITED!

Well I posted a similar question a few threads down but no one has replied. I called Apple and they said that mine was coming from China and they are out of stock of parts in China at the moment. However the estimated date still hasn't changed from its original position:cool: . So if you have ordered yours its possible you may have the same problem.

Also, Apple always give a worse case scenario so that if it takes longer than say, a week, then you still can't badger them;).

I am hoping for mine to arrive on Thursday :p .

I like your specs; I went for the 24" behemoth and a 750GB drive with maxed out gfx card, 2.16ghz and 2 gigs of RAM. Can't wait either! :D .

Enjoy your mac!

You could do but they told me that it was out of stock on parts. It will be fine. Obviously, I don't know where your shipment is coming from, so if you do, make sure you say your delivery ref number and they will tell you where it's coming from.

They told me that mine will be via UPS and I will be able to track it in the next 2 days or less. :) .

Actually sorry but I misread your post. I thought your estimated arrival date was the 24th, but its not - thats the shipping date. Ever so sorry.

You might get yours in the next week or two. Sorry for the confusion. :(

Well I won't get it until a couple of days as first of all, Shanghai have to get the parts in before they can deliver it to me. Once the parts are in Shanghai then they can get UPS to deliver it. Then I will have a tracking number. :)

By the way if you go to Apples website and click on order status you will see that the number is to be updated shortly. But seeing as you only just ordered yours, it could take longer for you.

I'm just working it out as I go along as its the first mac I have ever owned.;)

The tracking number is the number I was on about. But that will only appear once the package is in your carrier's hands. :) Apple conveniently displays it on their website.

Clear anything up?:) .

Yeah thanks bud! Does anyone else have any experience with shipping dates and how long it might take or how long it has taken for you to get your iMac?
