Saw the thread title and thought I'd add my story only to find it's a little OT but what the hay.
I had a friend staying a few eeks back and they asked if I'd put a bunch of pictures and videos from their cameras onto a DVD for them. No problemo, we built the project in iMovie and sent it on its merry way to iDVD then went to bed.
Next morning I got up after they'd left for the airport with the wife and I suddenly thought about the DVD, I checked the iMac and it's drive was empty so I thought they'd helped themselves before leaving.
A few days later they called and during our chat asked if I'd mail the DVD, I was a little confused 'cause I thought they had it. Anyway I figured I must've ballsed up and sent the project to iDVD with no disc in so I re-sent it and all went fine.
It's not the first time I'd gone to burn a DVD or CD and left the room to find I'd 'forgotten' to put a disc in. Idiot.
So one day recently I'm burning a new CD for the car from iTunes and I'm sat at the iMac when it finishes and ejects the CD. Only it completly ejects the CD like a cartoon toaster and the CD lands on-top of my scanner rolls across the top and down on to a stack of files, across them until it hits the wall, turns through 90° and slides down between the desk and wall.
I had to crawl under the desk and fumble about for the CD, what do I find? About six burnt discs which I thought I'd never inserted!
