Hello,

I'm experiencing very annoying sleep/wakeup problems with Mid 2007 iMac.
I think it started after 10.5.6 update.

1. iMac does not go to sleep according to the Energy saving settings, this was actually from the day one. It goes to screen saver, display sleep, but not complete sleep.
2. Since automatic sleeping doe not work, I put it to sleep manually by pressing Power button. but in this case it sleeps so deep, that it does not wakeup. The only way to bring it back is to hold the Power button to
complete OFF and then power back UP.

I tried, PRAM and permissions tricks, nothing seem to help.
Is there any known solution to this problem?

Thank you.

24" iMac did not wake up or power up

I have experienced a similar problem. I have my 24" iMac set up to wake at 8:15 am and to go to sleep at 12:00 am. This has worked fine for the last 10months, but this morning it did not wake or power up. I tried turning it on with the power button and no response. Next I tried unplugging it and plugging it in to a different power source. I also tried resetting the pram and smc, but still no power indication at all. I don't have any apple phone support left, but my warranty is good til March. I set up an appointment to have an apple genius look at it tomorrow. Does anyone have any other suggestions to try?

What was the result of your Genius visit? My iMac will not power up after I put it in Sleep mode. My warranty is expired.
Thanks!

Pardon my ignorance, but how do I find my alarm clock on 10.5.6 and set up wake-up/sleep times?
