Imac speakers unbalancing

hey, i have an imac g5 (pre-built in isight) and at times i'll notice that music sounds weird and i'll check the sound preferences and the speakers will be unbalances even tho i did not set them that way. has anyone else experienced this/know how to keep it from doing this? its not a major problem, it just gets annoying.

p.s. i did search the entire forum for this subject and nothing came up so if this has been posted a million times before i apologize for wasting a few minutes of your life.

This is a known bug that's been around for a while. As yet there doesn't seem to be a fix.

Apple can't be bothered to fix it, but plenty of people have looked into it. Here's what I used on my iBook, and installed the day I got my Macbook:
