So I’m trying to remove the stand from my 2017 iMac ready for storage. I’ve watched all the videos about inserting a business card and finding the latch etc but 3 store cards later, I still can’t find any latch. Any tips or tricks to this?

This is possible if your 2017 is an iMac Pro (space grey), else it isn’t a feature on the silver 2017.
Best way for the latch is the put the iMac face down, screen laid on a soft surface, and to push the stand down to give as much clearance and visibility as possible. That would make the latch the most visible.

Ah. It’s a silver one. Oh well. It’s all wrapped up in towels now and the stand taped close in. In a box and in the garage
