I have the base 20-inch model. I run windows using VMWare Fusion and it works great for me.

I am not sure about the games. If anything, I have just 1GB ram and it just works. Wait for a few weeks, there might a revision coming up!

You wont have any trouble at all with WoW.

FS9 however will depend on what scenery you use, if you have lots of VFR scenery you will want a fair bit of ram, complex addon airports could also cause dropped frames, some of the Heathrow sceneries are bonkers

Best bet would be to save some extra pennies (about £20 i reckon) and get at least 2Gb in asap to get things playing nicely, and of course, the extra ram will give OSX a very nice boost too

I have 1.25 gigs in an older iMac and IL-2 Sturmovik ran beautifully and also the other flight sim games, but like others have said it does depend greatly on airports. But 2004 may be better.

Hi Emma,

Why dont you keep an eye on the refurb section for the iMac. I have got mine in the last week. 20" 2.4ghz for £780, still come with the years warranty!

Good luck

D

I have a the 20inch model and it is great. I also use Flight Simulator '04 and it is great with the size of the screen size of the iMac
