Hey all, greetings from Greece

I'm having a problem with my new iMac. Here's the story...

I bought a week ago an iMac 20" MB323 from a local store that had it as bad stock. The Mac was/is completely new, i did the unboxing and everything was perfectly packed. I'm using it for 7-8 days now, and suddenly a strange buzzing sound came on. The iMac stands there in my desk and a really annoying buzzing sound appears. When I shut down the sound goes away, when I boot up the sound starts even from the white screen! And it's there all the time! It's drives me nuts! It's like having a mobile phone in vibration! when I gently lift the imac from the desk (even a cm!) the sound goes away! I've tested the screen illumination going up and down all the time!
Does any of you have any idea what's wrong?

I do now that the scene now is with the new iMacs and all of you are actually focusing on them but plz if you have any ideas help!

Are you saying that the buzz does or does not vary with the screen illumination? If not, it may be your hard drive. When you touch the computer, can you feel a vibration? A less-than-solid desk can amplify a small vibration. Try moving the computer around on your desk, maybe toward an edge or corner where the support is more solid. Or take it back for a refund, if possible.

buzzing sound is annoying

My 20 inch iMac is buzzing as well. I have had it for one month and the buzzing started about a week after I got it. Have tried changing the brightness and it doesn't do anything.
