Anyone else's iMac still stuck in Shanghai? Mine's been there for about 48 hours "in transit" and apparently was not on the flight that just landed in Alaska. Anyone else in a similar situation (or is my package lost)?

Mine is still "in transit." Zero updates.

Mine has been staying in Shanghai for at least 30 hours before arriving at Hong Kong this morning...

I think they got whole lot of iMacs waiting to get on the plane...

Update: International Shipment release in Chicago. Did they fly from Shanghai to Chicago? In any event, things are looking up again...

Thanks for commiserating up til now...

Are you serious? That's for the iMac? I've never heard 'that' one

When mine was delivered today, the FedEx guy said that they are looking to bypass Alaska in the future and fly straight to the midwest. Looks like they already are. :D

Lost in Shanghai

I had same problem when I ordered my iMac several weeks ago. It seemed hung up there but it did reach me by the estimated delivery date. In retrospect I would have inquired of my Apple rep about upgrading shipping. In my case Fed-X subs out some stuff to a shipping consolidator. I didn't think it would ever leave CH but at the last minute it zipped to AK, the lower 48 and then out for shipping in my state. You might want to sign the online permission for the shipper to leave at your door in case you are away for a bit - the neighborhood allowing of course.

Interesting note...

I just received the new iMac and was surprised to see a "Quantas-Freight" Sticker on the side of the box. I guess my new computer didn't travel Fedex all the way!

I am seeing a ton of people get their macs earlier than they thought, and yet mine still says "in transit" in china. The thing was picked up fedex on frickin' weds and no update since they touched it. I'm marvelling at how bad the tracking system is. It gives one hope to see others get them early, but then dashes hope because I just don't feel lucky today.

I'm not sure which but either my computer or FedEx's tracking system has been stuck in China since last night around 9:06 PM EST:
