Hello,
I'm on an IMac mid 2017
I tried to update my Mac running under Mojave to Big Sur. I got an error that the disk check couldn't be done.
Since if I boot the mac in normal mode I can't start it, it gets stuck on the apple logo.
So I wanted to reset the mac but when I open the disk utility via Mac Restore it loads endlessly and doesn't display the disks.

I count on this precious community to help me.
Thank you for your time

Can you give more information about your Mac, such as specs.

I am having a little trouble understanding the situations.

It sounds like you tried updating your iMac from Mojave to Big Sur.
In the middle of the install process, you got an error.
When attempting to boot back up, the boot process hangs at the Apple logo.
You tried doing a clean install, using recovery or internet recovery, but your internal drive does not appear.

Is that what happened?

Do you have any back ups?

Be sure to include your boot drive type, too.
Hard drive? (only a spinning hard drive)
Fusion drive? (two devices: a hard drive, and an SSD, software configured as a single drive)
SSD? (Only an SSD, no hard drive included in the system.

Your first post doesn't give a lot of confidence in whatever drive you have! You may be looking forward to replacing that drive.
