IMac & Surround Sound Question

I have yet to purchase an IMac, but seriously considering it should it get the Thunderbolt "port" in a new revision update if ever... However, I had a question.

I currently have a Logitech Z680 5.1 Surround Sound system hooked up to my windows based desktop. I've attached a photo of the back of the "dock" or "control pod" of the system. Would I be able to use the digital optical port with the IMac with no issues? Ie I would not have to get any other devices to have the system work?

Any other IMac users with surround sound systems hooked up that they would suggest?

Basically the "mini" end goes into the output on the iMac and the other "optical" end goes into your system! Works flawlessly !

Nice thanks so much, good to know that I don't need any external sound cards or converters dumagiggies of some sort to get my system hooked up to the IMac. Nothing worse then add ons cluttering up the desk.
