iMac taking long to wake up

Hi guys, a little help please.

I've got a 2013 27" iMac that wakes up from sleep instantly, and another, 2012 27" as well, that takes a lot longer.

When it's sleeping, I click the mouse, after a few seconds a greyed out desktop apears and a progress bar comes up. After a few seconds it's ok. This takes some 10-15 seconds, while the other one takes 3 seconds.

Do you know what's happening?

Have you tried restarting it? Do moth Macs have the same style of hard drive? I.e. Is the 2013 SSD whereas the 2012 a spinner?
My 2012 Fusion Drive wakes in about 3 seconds. No grey screen or progress bar.

Same HDD, 1TB spinner.

BUT I guess if I leave it sleeping for a few minutes, it wakes fast, but If I leave it a few hours I get the progress bar...

Try resetting SMC and NVRAM. They should wake at similar speeds.

I reseted them both and nothing changed.

Does the "slow" iMac have "hibernation mode" enabled?
If so, have you tried disabling it via the terminal?

I agree. The restore screen that you see on only one (the fuzzy-grey background with a progress bar) means that one has hibernation enabled, but not on your other iMac.

I have two identical 2012 minis. One is left to sleep, sometimes for a couple of days at a time.
It slips into hibernation mode, and I get the "restore" screen at wake up.
The other is used several hours each day, my primary Mac, and can be sleeping overnight, yet never goes to hibernation (and wakes much more quickly).
I have reset the 'hibernation baby' a couple of times, which continues normally for a couple of weeks, then eventually returns to hibernation mode. I don't know exactly why it happens, as I don't change those settings at all, I just "sleep" the mini.
