Imac temps and dust

Hi

Something that recently happened to me.........

Temps rising fan speeds going, not good I thought.

Then like a blinding flash something really obvious hit me square between the eyes.

Fans draw in air, vents, bottom of iMac, blocked with dust, clean vents.....

Vents cleaned, air circulation back, lower fan speeds, cooler iMac

Just thought I would post this incase others had like me forgotten the air vents along the bottom of the iMac.

No dust on my vents after over one year of use. Do you use your mac in a factory or something?

I think that one thing that helps the iMac is that it sits on top of your desk and doesn't encounter all of dust and dirt that a computer sitting on the floor deals with.
