Hi all,

For some reason my iMac thinks that the  key is being pushed even when I'm nowhere near the keyboard.

It happens randomly ever few minutes and the continuous noise makes it sounds like a key being held down.

The only solution I have found is the disconnect the keyboard, so I assume it's a fault with the keyboard itself.

Has anyone had a similar problem or could offer a better solution?

Thanks

i guess you are right and its the keyboard and i guess further when you say disconnect thats a usb keyboard , and as i am regular watching ebay , i guess its the aluminium keyboard with numberpad , as these turn up frequently with some keys not working sold for spares , but depending when you bought it you could get it replaced by apple under warranty ,or by the shop you bought it from, if i am wrong and its a brandnew iMac with a brandnew aluminium wireless keyboard then i would just call apple
