Hello all. There were rumors awhile back that Apple was developing a 21.5" iMac with Multi-Touch capabilities. I have not heard much since. I know during the most recent refresh that one of the media outlets stated that the iMac was becoming irrelevant to Apple. As I remember, Steve Jobs shot back and said something to the effect "wait to they see what we are working on". Anyways, those sure sounded like fighting words!

I've been looking at some of the all-in-one's from HP and Lenovo and they look pretty interesting - especially Lenovo's A700. But I have to think that Apple will wait until the design is perfected before they release an iMac Touch.

What's your opinion of an iMac Multi-Touch (via the screen) capable computer? What type of applications would you like to see implemented on such a system? Do you think Apple could design this machine and make it revolutionary rather than just a refresh? Thanks

the only multitouch device you'll see with computer capability is the iPad.

Apple is not really investing a lot of resources into the computer segment any more. Their focus has been on the itoys and the lack of application/OS updates are evidence of this.

This just makes me think of a pratt haplessly prodding a beautiful glass screen and five mins later, its looks like a dogs dinner.

When I use a computer, I want to relax, not work out! :)
