Hi All-

See my sig for my current Mac specs.

I'm looking for advice on what/how to upgrade my iMac G4 800MHz 1024 SDRAM, or if I should sell this system and look into something new & what?

I use Photoshop(PS) CS2 and have allot of pics I save to the HD (80GB). The PS tutorial I use recommends 1GHz by itself. Not running any other programs while using PS I've noticed a major slowdown of the system although I haven't saved allot of new pics lately. Basically, this is all the computer is used for, am I too small for PS?

I'm wondering about adding an external drive to save all my pics to, would this be the answer? or would the 800MHz still be too slow?

If I were to go with an external HD, recommendations? Make, Model, Capacity? I know nothing about this.

I'm led to believe by the Total Training Support (who sells the Adobe approved tutorials) that my iMac is too slow to run there tutorials(namely , Tot.Training for PS CS2) & that functionality problems could occur. I do have problems when trying to reverse the Tutorials. Would loading all my pics to an external drive free things up so it could run at full capacity?

Would it be better to just get into a new Mac? Recommendations?

Thanks everyone..........

That's because it's Daystar :) Info here, it might be worth the trip if you're in love with the form factor.
