iMac: Upgraded 2.93 cheaper than 3.06?

2.93 iMac, upgraded to 3.06, 1TB, and ATI video card = $2,104.00

$40 less. Not much, but it's something. (This is Education pricing. Standard pricing is $2,249 each.)

My question is, is there any difference in these two machines, as specified?

Otherwise, why not save the $40?
