imac upgrades?

I am going to be getting an imac in a couple of days and I am considering some of the upgrades.

I am considering either the of the 27in models.

a little about myself and how I see my self using the computer.

It will primarily be used as a media machine, hulu, netflix, basic browsing, itunes, etc. I will be putting windows on the machine, but only for one game (mtgo) so it wont really effect the performance. I am also a graphic designer, but I get enough of that at work and most of what I will do isnt too taxing (no video, occasional large photoshop files, mostly indesign). The computer will only be used for designing about 5% of the time if that.

I want to spend as little as possible, so if the base 1699 model does what I am asking let me know.

The upgrade questions (considering the above) I have are:

Processor: i3 or i5 (dont think i want to spend to go up to i7)

Video card: this is the biggest question. Will the 512mbs be suitable for fullscreen video, is it worth the extra $150. and if it is should I just spend the extra $150 for the 1999 model

Windows: Is it worth paying for a vm or will boot camp do the job considering I only need it for one program?

A better question would be can you live with booting to a another OS everytime you want to use just one program. However, you should remember that there is a program called VirtualBox which is free and does the same job as VM or Pararrels -- not as good though. If that one program is a game, you should definately use BootCamp. Why? Because the performance isn't nearly as good if you use a virtual OS.
