I have an old G3 Mac Mini. I am wondering if I could hook it up to my new intel iMac as a storage drive. Anybody have advice on this?

Of course

Holding "T" while booting the mini will make it emulate a FireWire mass storage device.

hookingup

I don't have firewire on the old Mini, but if I plug it into a regular place, hold down the T, push the Mini button, nothing will blow up?
I presume that the big new iMac will just think it is another brain??? Then I can dump about 3000 photographs into it?

Thank you so much for your help

Turn on File Sharing on the mini and connect them together via Ethernet. You can also turn on Screen Sharing and operate the mini "headless" (no monitor, keyboard or mouse) from the iMac.
