I have the iPad and the 27" iMac and I'd like to use the iMac's speaker for audio output from my iPad. Right now, I have a pair of Bluetooth headphones that work great with my iPad. I pair them up and I an listen to audio from my iPad wirelessly.

I was wondering if you can use the iMac as an audio output device for the iPad? Meaning, I'd like the audio to play on my iMac just like it does with the bluetooth headphones I have.

I have tried it and successfully paired them. But they won't connect to each other. The pairing works, but then when I click on the device on my iPad, it tries to connect but doesn't. I'm assuming at this point that I cannot use the iMac for speaker output on the iPad, but I thought I'd ask if anyone else has gotten this to work.

Still wondering if anyone has gotten the above setup to work?

Another thing I'd like to do is play my iPad's audio output through my home stereo system wirelessly. Right now, I've been using a cord to plug into my stereo via the headphone jack, but I'd rather use Bluetooth.

Is there a Bluetooth adaptor of some sort that can act as a receiver that plugs into my home stereo?
