iMac video card

I have a 17" iMac that I use at the church on the overhead projector. I would like to hook up to two TV monitors to use on the platform. What is the best way to do this? I already invested in a wireless signal setup but the signal is so intermittent that it is almost useless. Can I get a coax card of some kind or is there an adapter I can get that will convert the signal to coax - I already have a cable run to the platform. Let me know of any ideas.

The best I can recommend is to get the S-Video adapter for the iMac (which also has component video), then get one of those video switches (Radio Shack at least used to have them) that accept various video inputs and then output it over, among other things, coax.

Something like this would probably work (edit: cheaper here).

Do you want to have the TVs connected at the same time as the overhead projector? If so, that will be difficult. They would all have to be displaying the same thing at the same lowest-common-denominator resolution (640x480 over s-video). You can connect 2 TVs pretty easily as long as they will both be displaying the same image. Just get the necessary adapter to convert your mini-DVI or mini-VGA output on the iMac to s-video or composite. Then get an s-video splitter (or distribution amplifier, better but more expensive) to split the signal between multiple TVs.

If the TVs only have coax inputs, and no s-video/composite, get two RF modulators also.

jsw above has the right idea, but those are switches, i.e. they can only output a signal to one TV at a time.

Yea, I need to have the TV's running at the same time as the projector. They will all be showing the same thing simultaneous, so that is not a problem. I have a signal booster so could I bring the signal into it and then -since it has two outputs - can I take one out to the projector and the other to the Tv's??

You need 3 outputs total. 1) TV, 2) TV, 3) projector. This thing is what you would need:

Plus the Apple Mini-DVI to Video Adapter (or Mini-VGA to Video Adapter if it's not an Intel Mac). This costs $20 I think. You would need long enough s-video or composite video cables too.

this adapter is DVI you can buy a DVI cable or a conversion cable (to HDMI) at mycablemart.com the also sell a splitter for hdmi, and long cables are cheap. Good quality too. They sell other cables as well.

Add audio to your tv's with a regular heaphone splitter and and a LR RCA splitter (found at radioshack). Plug in to your imac combo headphone optical jack, and buy the audio rca cables at mycablemart.com They have cheap priority mail shipping and express too. want 10% off enter Rtncust10per.
