So my first Mac was a Macbook Pro I bought in September. I love the thing very much.

Earlier this month, I bought an iMac.

I can't help but notice how much I use the Macbook Pro compared to my iMac. The iMac is great. I love everything about it. I couldn't wait to get it...But I'm not using it as much as I feel I should especially for the money I spent on it. My wife actually wanted to buy the iMac more than me. Even still, she's on the laptop more.

Maybe I don't want to make it "old" quickly, or maybe I just prefer the portability of the Book. I think I just prefer planting my ass on the couch in front of a TV and laptop...

Anyone else feeling this? :D

This is the bad part of having two computers... As SnowLeopard2008 said, use it as secondary computer or if you have kids, let them use it. Furthermore, if you think it would get more use in kitchen for example, put it there

I have my iMac in view of the TV :) although more of than not, I watch TV on my Macbook Pro and surf on my iMac

I bought a 17" unibody in march and found that 95% of my usage was at home hooked up to a monitor and keyboard. Bought the 27" iMac and my wife gave me her dell laptop and I'm all set. I cant justify the cost to keep the unibody because 95% of its life will be spend collecting dust.

My wife has a 13" Unibody MBP that I have to say is a perfect travel laptop. If I was going to get another Mac for a travel laptop it would be a 13"

I bought my MBP after the refresh earlier this year (first :apple:). Last week I bought the 21.5 iMac in order to centralize all of the families media. I find myself using my MBP more for web browsing and checking email. However, I have been using the iMac for some minor gaming and to keep all my media organized. The 21.5 screen is amazing.

I use it 50-50. My MBP on the couch surfing youtube videos and the web, and more of work on the iMac (with larger screen). I also surf the web on the iMac sometimes.

Heard that!

I ditched my iMac for a MBP and I've regretted it ever since. Like you, my MBP spends the majority of it's time sitting on my desk attached to an external monitor. I guess it simply comes down to lifestyles but I seldom if ever have the need for a laptop. Kinda found that out after the fact. LOL.

So, I'm putting my MBP on Craigslist and getting another iMac. Lesson learned.

That said, count me among those standing in line for the iPad or iTablet or whatever they call it. I see it as the perfect device for those times I need portable computing n

i keep my imac up at my office for my main work stuff and the Air at home or on the road. Match made in Heaven.

I have a 24" iMac and just bought my wife a Macbook Pro. I really though that she would be bored with the thing after a month, and I would have a new laptop to play around with.

Didn't work out quite that way. Between the MB and her iPod touch, I can't get near them.
