iMac w/ Radeon 4850 on Bootcamp w/ Vista 32bit question.

Is it possible to install drivers for the 4850 from ATI's website, or would I only be able to use the drivers that come on the Mac OSX installation CD?

The thing I noticed about installing drivers on Windows, is that you won't have control of your brightness once you use those drivers. So best bet is to stick with the drivers Apple provides.

the brightness part doesn't bother me. i'd just like to know if it would install once i go to run the driver

i remember reading that you had to modify files to get it to work...

follow the instructions, the video drive has nothing to do with your backlight control .......

that app didn't work. people on their forums complained of same issue with 4850.

edit: found a work-around - bill gates (a user on these forums) posted 9.5 drivers and they worked. i still can't use control center to change things, but at least i have the latest drivers.

Just use DarkAdapted together with the ATi driver and you'll be fine!
