Our office recently acquired the Intel iMacs. Is there a preference setting to adjust/modify to make a squirlley-looking website opened in IE look correct (jumped graphics and out of place imagery)

The setting would be to design the website to standards rather than IE standards ( I learnt this lesson a while back also).

You may be able to get a plug-in (probably for Firefox) to emulate IE, i've not really looked into it.

Safari doesn't have anything like an "IE compatibility mode," but you might try an alternative browser with a different rendering engine, like Firefox.
