I wasnt sure on where to post this but,
I just want to let you all know that I just received my Week 6 imac 27 i7 2TB and:
- No trace of yellow tint
- No flickr
- No ugly HDD noise
- No weird bluetooth things

I hope that this helps undecided people decide :)

Are you sure it isn't a week 1 ?

Excuse me, Doc. I brought this message back from the future and, well, now it's erased

You are right! I looked at the build number instead of the Serial number :)

Its confusing because the serial starts with W800
Isn't that supposed to be Week 8?

SO week 6 it is :)
Anyway, the iMac is still great after a few days of work, still not HDD rumbling, yellow tint, etc.
Thanks for the tips.

Week 7; issues. :(

Plenty, plenty of yellow. It's my second Mac, I don't remember what week the first one was to be honest.

I just can't understand how 2 people have week 7 machines and one is perfect and the other is bad? Aren't Apple's iMacs all using the same parts?

I have a week 7 and it is fine for me. I didn't go through the troubleshooting that other have, though, and I'm not a graphic artist (I'm just an IT security guy that has a greed for anything Mac), so its good enough for me. My eyes are good, though. I'm not going to go looking deeper to see if I've a real issue...if it isn't bothering me as it is right now, I'm not going to go through any exhaustive efforts.

I ordered my iMac 27" i5 the day of launch, arrived in flawless condition, still in flawless condition. I guess I was lucky?

I have a week 7 that I received on Friday, all perfect. This was my 4th iMac. The first two were 21.5's with yellowing. I exchanged and upgraded to the 27" for the 3rd unit, but no airport card was installed. Friday the apple store in the woodlands Texas opened up a brand new week 7 in front of me and it all checked out perfect. For all the trouble, apple care is sending me a 1TB external drive which I can appreciate their gesture.
