iMac Wi-fi

Anybody finding the Wi-Fi on their iMac's is not quite as good as other devices?

My imac drops packets and is much slower than my iphone or mba, which are both right next to it.

It doesn't happen all the time, so it might be an interference issue, but not one that effects my other devices.

My flatmate has the 27" iMac and when he is using the wireless it always works well.

Is the network you are connected to a wireless g/n?

G network here, two iMacs, no issues at all.

on my imac the wi-fi sometimes drps and wont reconnect automatically. this seem to happen only anfter it wakes up from standby

Mine was fine when I tested the router (Cicso E3000 11.n dual band). I am using ethernet now but it seemed fast.

Not a single problem here.

Almost as fast as my old PC wired.
