I upgraded to the Apple wireless keyboard with my new iMac.

However.... mine has BIG problems with Bootcamp and the CAPS LOCK key.

Pressing CAPS = instant dead keyboard and/or endlessly repeating keystrokes.

It does revive itself eventually after a few minutes...

Especially annoying when gaming as I'll accidentally press it while playing COD4 and end up running backwards for 5 minutes unable to do anything else but shoot! Horrific bug, Apple - what are you thinking??

I haven't installed any other drivers other than the ones which come with BC, so perhaps it is user error?

Perhaps it is just mine? It is highly irritating though, sometimes I have to reboot purely because I pressed a key (which is dangerously close to many of the keys used in nearly all games) by mistake.

I have this keyboard with the 24" imac. I also play COD4 and sometimes hit caps lock by mistake. Guess what? Never happened to me.

How annoying. How did you install it? This happens to me whenever I press caps lock, in any game and in any aspect of the O/s.

I have installed Setpoint for the MX Revolution, which is apparently for mouse & keyboard - but there are no kb settings anywhere. I bet this is somehow the culprit...

I added the unit in the bluetooth preferences within windows (vista). The system will pick up your keyboards automatically, but i found that there was a delay when I let it do this, so I added them manually. That probably has something to do with it, but I can't be sure. The setting sfor the MX
Revolution could have something to do with it as well.

same here

I found this thread by searching for a problem I was having, and bingo! So I'll go ahead and resurrect it.

I have the same problem on a 24" iMac when using boot camp. The keyboard has never given me a single issue in OS X, but pushing the caps lock key in Boot Camp (XP) makes it go completely nuts just like you described. When playing AOE3, they keyboard always goes dead if I press it. If I am just in Windows, it will usually send repeated keystrokes for a while, then eventually it will go back to normal. It seems like when it is in this mode, it will send maybe 20-30 strokes for every one push of a key. Annoying.

Update: I just found this site, which has steps for disabling the caps lock key entirely in Windows XP. This solves the problem for now, as long as you don't need the caps lock key:
