I know I'm not the only audiophile here, but I'm wondering what types of speakers are people using with the current iMacs? The built in ones are just not that great for my needs, but I'm not sure what connections, if any, are available to hook up a 5.1 speaker set such as this one:

Any help is greatly appreciated!

You will need a mini-TOSLINK to TOSLINK cable for optical audio. Any 5.1 system with TOSLINK input will work.
The system you linked to appears to have an optical-in port, so it should work.

I'm planning on getting the Bose Companion 3 speakers soon hopefully. I heard them at BestBuy and sound pretty nice. Dont really care for 5.1 sound since I dont watch movies on my Mac.

Thanks for the replies guys, forgot to add if anyone knows what type of sound card do the iMacs have? Is it just integrated on the chipset?
