Hi all

I have a G5 imac & an xbox 360. I'd like to connect my xbox to the internet so I can play on live, but I do not know how I would do this? I'm at university and my internet connection is a network. Its ethernet. Any ideas?

Many thanks,
Ian

I dont have a 360 but I am pretty sure you just plug the xbox's ethernet into your router amd then boot up and log in.

I don't have a router, since its a uni network and my connection is ethernet. That is the issue.

Are there any open ethernet ports on the wall where you plug your imac into? If not, you would have to unplug the imac and then plug your xbox 360 in or buy a router or switch/hub.

Afraid it isn't quite that simple. It has to go through the imac. I have to connect the PPPoE & VPN.

You'll have to buy a router then. I use a free xbox program that requires my xbox to go through my computer and the only way I accomplish that is through my Dlink 524. You connect xbox to router, then modem to router and then router to PC all with ethernet cables. That should work on your network. Id also suggest asking your questions here: forums.xbox-scene.com
