Imac youtube mp3 converter help

I just purchased an imac and i always had windows so im kind of a nooby on the imac but im learning very fast , i had a question i want to download youtube songs to an mp3 that i can drag to itunes to put in my iphone 4 ...
I mean download as in convert the youtube song into an mp3 and drag into itunes ... When i had windows i used http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-YouTube-to-MP3-Converter.htm. But that program only supports windows vista no mac

one way is to use firefox with the extension "download helper" this allows you to download videos from youtube (and nearly every flash video site) most song videos will have a mp4 version to download so take them, if not download the .flv version, use quicktime which can open either to convert to wave format, bring into itunes and simply use itunes to make a mp3 version of the file.

alternatively you can use the mp4 in itunes as videos and transfer to your phone, quicktime can also convert the .flv into iphone/ipod files

may i also add that this is all free so no need to purchase any software for it, it may seem a little long winded and someone will prob have another faster way to do it, but seeing as no oone posted and this is a full functional way i thought id let you know
