This is an idea that I have since I bought a MacBook Pro and it's because I love the trackpad and I use it instead of the mouse.
So the keyboard of an iMac can have integrated the keyboard itself + the trackpad in just a single "device".
The place of the trackpad can be where before were a numeric keypad. It can have the other features that have the MBP's keyboard.

Use MRoogle for looking for threads about this device you seem to talk about. It has been brought up several times, as a wish and fantasy of course. Maybe in the future.

But from an functional standpoint, I think that it would be not ergonomic to have the trackpad right besides the keys
A more separate device, like a graphics tablet for example, could work. Wacom has even build such a thing.

You're absolutely right. Thanks for the feedback that I was really looking for.

OP, what exactly are you trying to say or ask here? Please elaborate.

I was looking for some feedback if someone else think that using MBP's keyboard as the iMac's. Besides what other alternatives.

spinnerlys gave me the feedback. You can see also his or her comment.

Thanks

Finally Magic TrackPad !!!!!

October last year, I wrote about the desire of being able to use the trackpad in an iMac. Now, the dream came true with Magic TrackPad.
