image capture convert tiff to jpeg???

How can I convert my photos that I have imported from scanner from a tiff to a Jpeg. I cant post pictures on a Mercedes forum unless its gif or jpeg but image capture seems to store them in a tiff.

Please help

Open them up in Preview (an OS X App) and then go to File and Save As and select JPEG as the format.

Do you have iphoto? I do all my pics in that. I import them into iphoto and then hit export. When in there you can do all sorts of things -- change the size, change to jpeg etc.. and then save it wherever you want. Then when you go to your site "Mercedes" you can pick up that jpeg wherever you saved it.
iphoto comes in so handy for changing size since alot of those forums require photos to be certain sizes.
