Hi,

I am on iPhone 16 pro max with ios 18.1.1 and Macbook M3 with 15.1.1. I used to download all my photos/video daily from camera roll using Image Capture app then delete all the photos. Now I am getting some phantom files I shot a year ago downloading from the camera roll even though they are not visible when I check the iPhone. Image capture also hangs on random files which are not corrupted as they play properly if I transfer via airdrop.

Is there an app where I can clear the camera roll by going into the directory of the iphone. Some of the clear photos apps fro the Mac app store didn't show anything in the camera roll either. I am not on icloud photos either. Hoping I don't have to wipe the iPhone and reinstall.

I also used to be able to delete images from iPhone using Image Capture on the mac but now that option doesn't work.

What the hell is going on? These weird bugs takes me back to the days when I was using a dell laptop back in 2009.
