I'm just getting started with this subject, and the recent purchase of iView by Microsoft has confused me a little about what to purchase. I'm looking for a program that catalogs my images so that I can keyword search to find what I need. I'm a graphic designer that does quite a lot of digital illustration, so I'm always using scans/photos/stock photos/drawings and would like to find these quicker than I do now. It would need to handle my RAW (NEF) images, and to search images I have stored offline. I don't think I need the biggest, most complicated, expensive program, just something simple. I of course have CS2 and iphoto, but not the most recent version.

So, is iView still the way to go? Could iphoto do the trick? I'm not overwhelmed yet with images, so is there something coming that I should wait for? Thanks for the advice.
