All iPads Image editing - smart select, fill section with image etc

i am looking for a free or free trial of an app that allows me to select a section of an image to cut out (preferably smart AI to select the object automatically). Then I would like the ability to import an image on top and place it into the cut out section.

I can’t seem to find anything to do this and I don’t want to pay £20 to find out if sw has the feature.

Isn't this fairly basic image editing? I know you said 'free' but I do stuff like this on Pixelmator (£4.99) on the iPad all the time-- it's one of my main workflows. The selection tools are pretty good but if it's a complex image you'll always get a better result if you're using the pencil. You'd remove the section you want gone, add a layer with the image you want to fill in the deleted bit, and arrange accordingly. I have Affinity apps too but for this type of job I keep coming back to Pixelmator.
