image on screen, how do i remove?

i have noticed on my desktop i have a finder icon (currently connected to an external monitor) and on the second desktop (monitor) there is a little icon

its a small thumbnail type image, which isnt clickable but seems like a finder icon... its kind of annoying?

is there a way i can get rid of it
