Image uploading(free) for use with my web site

I have made a news web site and it is running for years.
I maintain it and I add articles everyday.

Text data entry is an easy task. It also takes little space.
But this does not happen to the article's images. Images can take lot of of hosting space and besides that, the file management interface of my hosting company is horrible. So I avoid uploading images 'till now! It is a pity to ruin my site's appearance because of these reasons.

I would like to have the option to easily upload images to a free online service site and use them in my site by adding the appropriate link. Something like youtube links for videos but without any sign of the free service itself.

I know there are several sites about online photo galleries like flick, imageshack etc.

But I have to make a good decision now suiting my needs, so I need your opinions about the situation I face.

I need to upload images very often, display them as embedded photos inside my web pages, to be able to use them as if they were stored on my own hosting server(no logos/watermarks of the photo service), and generally being a simple (mac style!) and clear(no hidden terms etc) service.

I am almost jealous with free blogs(name.blogspot.com etc). The admins of each blog upload every image they want, and they forget about managing them! Peace of mind! I want to be able to do a similar thing by using my images, which would be store elsewhere on the net, and use them easily on my site.

Do I need a free online photogallery? Which one is a 'clear'(no signs of the service itself) one? Which is better than the others for a use like I want it ?
Or do I need just a free hosting space in a free server just to upload files-images with no photogallery options?
In any case I want to choose a remarkable free photo service.

I wait for your suggestions. I hope there is something that would help me.

Uploading about 5 images everyday.
Monthly hits about 120000.

One site of mine has hundreds of pages and several pictures on each page, and the hosting costs me around $40 a year with GoDaddy.... no ads at all. There's plenty of space leftover, too. Much better than uploading to a separate site, imo.

My main complain is not hosting space but the whole upload process through their file manager. I have 1gb of space so this is not a problem.

I think that I need too many clicks in order to upload an image. It is just their menus on their controlpanel...
So I would like something more instant.

If it takes me a 1,5 minute to upload an image to my hosting server, and another free service allows me to do it with fewer clicks and in 0,5 minute, that is important for me.
Saving time.

I see what you're saying. I use Dreamweaver, so the images upload along with the page if you want, and you just keep your images in the Images folder that you designated. I hope you find something that works for you!

I want to recommend you Wordpress or an other CMS (content management system). It's super easy to use and you can make your site look very professional. You also have tons of plugins and add-ons like a visit counter, ...

Your web host does not allow FTP? If it did you would just drag the file/folder into the FTP client to upload it to your web host. My web host is free requires no ads and gives you 5 GB storage and FTP so yours is bad if it does not allow FTP. I have seen horrible web hosts that allow FTP even when they require ads on your site.

I have dreamweaver.
I also use ftp.

But these are not the easiest solutions because I want to be able to update/upload my site anywhere. Not only from home where I have ftp/dreamweaver installed.
During the job time, at an internet cafe, using a friend's laptop etc.

And the simplest way is ....http solution.
Everything that can be done using just a browser.

So the file manager of my hosting provider is awful.
I wish I could upload my images somewhere, and just put a link on my site in order to be displayed.

Windows includes FTP clients
Linux does too

For mac put a FTP client on a flash drive and it is easier than any web based thing. HTTP was not designed for (mass) uploading that is what FTP is for.

If you are modifying your site away form home you should have the full thing with you unless you use a CMS
